Dear friends,

I am writing to ask you to join me in a day of prayer and fasting for breakthrough for Peter on Saturday the 27th of September.

Peter has been gradually getting worse as his body is so torn up from scratching and on top of the itching he is in extreme pain from so many open sores especially on his legs and feet. I have been so impressed with his heart of love and surrender to God and his continuous worship and thankfulness even in extreme pain. He has received incredible revelation of the love of His Heavenly Father and of the power in the verse: consider it all joy when you go through trials of many kinds…at the same time I believe that just as the saints prayed for Peter to be freed from prison, even while just days before James was killed, so do we have the right to call for his freedom and see the miracle of breakthrough take place as it did for Peter in Acts 12.

For several days now Peter has been pointed to the story of Lazarus. The thing that he kept saying to me over and over again was, “There’s something about the stone being rolled away. I just can’t stop thinking about the stone. There’s something significant in that.” Then a few days ago he said, “It was his friends. Jesus told them to remove the stone (and it was one huge, heavy stone). They did the possible and then Jesus did the impossible.” As we talked about it we felt that we should call for a day of prayer and fasting to “remove the stone” and together as one force, united as family and friends, make the way for the breakthrough.

So many people around the world have been praying continuously for Peter since his diagnosis on January 4th this year, and we know that every prayer is like a battering ram weakening the stronghold of the enemy. There have even been whole churches, cell groups, ministries and youth groups, from literally every continent, that we have never even met that have been praying for him! We are SO grateful for all of your prayers. We also know and believe with all of our hearts that everyone who has prayed for Peter has an inheritance in the anointing and authority that comes through this trial and that “personal breakthrough brings corporate blessing”! We also believe that as we join together as one voice, on one day, offering ourselves through prayer and fasting as living sacrifices, that the enemy’s camp will be severely damaged and that the Kingdom will advance in power and victory!

So, if you would like to join us in this day of prayer and fasting would you please let me know? I think it would encourage Peter to know how many people are praying for him all around the world. Therefore, please send a quick reply and let me know the following:

1. How many people approximately will be praying with you?

2. Where will you be praying (city & country)?

If you are unable to fast, but still want to pray, that is absolutely fine, too.

I would also like to ask you to continue to hold our children up in prayer for grace and protection. Elizabeth is almost finished with her training in South Africa and will be travelling back to England soon and Amanda has started her DTS and loves it. CammiAnn is missing her sisters terribly, but is doing quite well all things considered.

Thank you for you love, concern, encouragement, support and prayers. Our lives are so much richer because of you!

Blessings,

Shanie
