Introduction:

Peter was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1968 and raised in a Christian home. Shanie was born in 1970 in small-town Shelton in Washington State, USA. They moved to Kona, Hawaii to join Youth With A Mission (YWAM) when Shanie was just 14. We met on a Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Papua New Guinea in 1987. Some amazing statistics came out of this school, as two thirds of the students married each other and the last third ended up in prison. In case you're wondering, our DTS consisted of three students! We've worked with YWAM ever since and have three daughters aged 21, 19 and 14 who have been raised in a third culture.

• To equip leaders working among children, youth and families.
• To multiply new effective programs for children, youth and families.
